Hank Wangford – Halfway to Christmas

Alt-country legend Hank Wangford is set to bring his signature blend of sharp wit, melancholic storytelling, and hard-edged country music to The Folklore Rooms in Brighton for a very special show. Titled Halfway to Christmas, this unique performance features dobro wizard Noel Dashwood – The Dash and legendary guitar slinger Brad Breath aka Andy Roberts, marking the first collaboration of this remarkable trio.

Subtitled The First Noel, this event will be a celebration of authentic country music, filled with original songs, old classics, and new material, including tracks from Wangford’s recent albums Holey Holey and Promises Promises (with The Dash). Expect world premieres, a performance of his new single Our Precious Thing in support of the NHS, and an evening rich in country tradition. With The Dash taking audiences on a dobro-fuelled journey to South Sea islands, and Brad guiding listeners into darker honky-tonk corners with his Glimpses of Gloom, this promises to be a night of unforgettable musical storytelling. There may even be yodelling and rabbit roping—and of course, a tribute to the hard edge of real country music.
