Kacey Musgraves is an Texan singer and songwriter, best known for her Grammy Award-winning albums Golden Hour and Star-Crossed. Born and raised in Golden, Texas, she started playing music when she was eight years old and was heavily influenced by country music. She later took guitar lessons and began writing her own songs. She had her first stint with fame in 2007, when she participated in the singing reality show Nashville Star. In 2012, she signed with Mercury Nashville and released her debut studio album Same Trailer Different Park, which won the Grammy Award for Best Country Album. Her second album Pageant Material was also a critical and commercial success, as well as her Christmas-themed album A Very Kacey Christmas. Her fourth studio album Golden Hour was released in 2018 and received widespread acclaim, winning four Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album. Her fifth studio album, Star-Crossed, was released in 2021 and became her fourth top-ten album on the Billboard 200.
