About Rainy Eyes

Rainy Eyes, born Irena Eide, is a Norwegian-born Americana singer-songwriter known for her soulful storytelling. Raised between the city of Bergen and her family's sheep farm on Norway's rugged islands, her musical roots run deep, influenced by her Serbian musician father and a guitar-playing uncle. She recorded her first demo at just 12 years old.

Her journey led her through Denmark to San Francisco, where she embraced the Bay Area's vibrant music scene, learned bluegrass and roots music, and connected with legendary artists like Pete Seeger. Her debut album, Moon in the Mirror (2019), showcased her emotional depth, while her latest work, Lonesome Highway (2023), tells a decade-long story of perseverance, motherhood, and healing.

Now based in Louisiana, Rainy Eyes continues to captivate audiences with her evocative performances. She is set to release Little Folkies, an album of folk songs for children, later this year. Her music invites listeners into a world of deeply personal and timeless melodies.
