Southeast Sessions May 2025
Join us for an unforgettable evening of country-inspired singer-songwriter magic at Southeast Sessions, held in the unique and intimate St Richard's Centre in South East London. Drawing inspiration from the celebrated writers rounds of Nashville, these evenings are a perfect way to discover exceptional artists sharing their songs and stories in a captivating, interactive format. With all performers on stage together, taking turns to play and connect with the audience, every session is entirely unique—an unmissable experience for any country music fan.
This May, Southeast Sessions welcomes four incredible songwriters who each bring their own distinct style:
- Matt Hooper, a multi-award-winning artist hailing from Yorkshire, has tasted Nashville success with a Billboard No.1 hit. His music draws on classic U.S. dustbowl heartland vibes, fused seamlessly with a Northern indie twist for a fresh, dynamic sound.
- Ingrid, a country-pop artist originally from Helsinki and now based in London. Known for her soulful vocals and heartfelt storytelling, her music blends acoustic country warmth with modern pop, creating songs that are both personal and relatable.
- Ella Spencer, a multi-instrumentalist whose British-American heritage informs her captivating fusion of Indie and Roots music. Armed with a piano, guitar, and occasional banjo, Ella pairs her distinctive voice with evocative songs that linger long after the performance.
- Owen Morgan, a gifted storyteller whose gritty Americana cocktail blends folk, roots, and a hint of punk. Owen’s knack for writing catchy, thought-provoking hooks will have audiences singing along and reflecting on life’s deeper questions by the second chorus.
Experience the beauty of country music storytelling in an intimate setting where the focus is on connection and creativity. Wednesday 14th May 2025—don’t miss this special evening at Southeast Sessions!
