This once derelict iconic building is now being refurbished by Hastings Commons. It is now home to a large events space, co-working space, private offices, 1066 Crossfit Gym and a café. The Observer Building was built in 1924 for the newspaper empire FJ Parsons Ltd and abandoned in 1985 due to the fall of the print industry. It was purchased by Hastings Commons in 2019 and has since undergone a major refurbishment to bring the building back into use for the community.
