Run down and about to close it's doors for the last time, The Waterloo was revived and brought back to life with the power of live music by none other than Mr Ian Fletcher. This man has turned the venue into a place that people travel around the world just to come and visit. In the last five years this ‘small venue with a massive attitude’ on Waterloo Road has welcomed local & international acts, grass roots musicians to big names and Ian says there is a reason - attention to detail.Ian says “I’ve got big plans, there is so much more to be done but the buzz keeps me going - there’s nothing quite like this place when you’ve got a 300 strong audience, the stage, lights and then the music, it’s an experience - it’s just electric.”In 2020 the waterloo was presented 'Best Music Venue In the UK' by Planet Rock Radio, we all take immense pride in this and thank everyone from staff down to the continuing customers who make The Waterloo what it is.
