Drake White is an American country music singer and the leader of Drake White & The Big Fire. He was born on October 3, 1983 in Hokes Bluff, Alabama and started singing in his church choir when he was 14. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in building science and worked as a contractor in Nashville before pursuing his musical career. He released his self-produced debut album 50 Years Too Late in 2011 and signed with Dot Records in 2014. His first single with Dot Records, "It Feels Good", was released in 2015, followed by his second single, "Livin' the Dream", later that year. His first studio album with Dot Records, Spark, came out in 2016 and reached number four on the Top Country Albums chart . The album's third single, "Makin' Me Look Good Again", was a hit and featured his wife Alex as his love interest in the music video. White has opened for several country music stars, such as Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band, Eric Church and Luke Bryan. He released a five-song EP titled Pieces in 2018 and a live EP titled Drake White and the Big Fire Live later that year. In 2019, he was diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a rare vascular disorder that caused him to collapse on stage during a show. He has since recovered and continued to make music, releasing another EP titled Stars in 2020 and his second studio album The Optimystic in 2022
