Countrymusic.co.uk is curated by Rex Wickham.

Rex grew up in Somerset, South West England, surrounded by barn dances and ceilidhs. His mother was a big fan of Johnny Cash and Elvis, so it was unsurprising he got the ‘country’ bug early.

His early career saw him to working for ITV in news reporting, again in the South West. A number of career changes later, Rex now has a passion for digital storytelling and in 2023 he jumped at the opportunity to relaunch countrymusic.co.uk after a conversation with the legend Mr J. Craven who’d helmed it for over 15 years.

He is a strong advocate for supporting live music, and often attends concerts and festivals around the UK. He believes that nothing can compare to the experience of seeing your favourite artists perform live on stage.
