For all the UK country music lovers out there, here’s some exciting news about George Strait! Fresh off setting a record for the largest single ticketed concert in U.S. history with 110,905 fans at Kyle Field, the Country Music Hall of Fame member is giving us another taste of his upcoming 31st studio album, Cowboys And Dreamers, with the new track ‘Three Drinks Behind’. You can listen to the song and pre-save the album, which is set for release on September 6th.
Written by Benjamin Gaither, Jeff Silvey, and Kim Williams, and produced by Strait alongside Chuck Ainlay and Tony Brown, ‘Three Drinks Behind’ captures the essence of unwinding from a hectic day with good friends and great drinks at a local bar.
Following his 27th No. 1 Billboard Country album, Honky Tonk Time Machine, Cowboys And Dreamers features 13 new songs, including previously released tracks ‘MIA Down in MIA’ and ‘The Little Things’. The album also includes ‘Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame’ featuring Chris Stapleton and Strait’s rendition of Waylon Jennings’ ‘Waymore’s Blues’.
George Strait will wrap up his US summer stadium shows this Saturday, July 20, at Soldier Field in Chicago. He will return to the stage this December, expanding his long-standing ‘Strait to Vegas’ show with a performance at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. This marks the 37th installment of the engagement, where he will once again team up with Chris Stapleton and be joined by special guests Little Big Town.
