The song is a journey through the highs and lows of love from married duo Meghan Linsey and Tyler Cain. The song has reverb-soaked vocals, a vibey, vinyl-driven beat and emotional lyrics about love lost.
Meghan Linsey auditioned for the eighth season of The Voice in 2015 and joined Team Pharrell, but later switched to Team Blake. She finished as the runner-up behind Sawyer Fredericks. After the show, she released an EP titled Believer and a pop album called Bold Like a Lion. She also developed a beauty brand with the same name as her EP. In 2022, she eloped with her longtime boyfriend Tyler Cain, who is also a singer and producer, in Hawaii. They’re now married and release music together under the name “Tyler Cain”.
Tyler Cain is a Nashville based producer, songwriter and artist who has worked with many famous musicians, such as Darius Rucker, Aloe Blacc, Shaggy, Big & Rich, and Colbie Caillat. He has credits on multiple Grammy nominated Albums of the Year and has produced and written several songs that reached the Top 5 of the iTunes charts.
Speaking to Countrymusic.co.uk about “More or Less”, Tyler says “This song was inspired by some of the classic country music songwriting that inspired both Meghan and my early musical journeys. It is a song about the up and down roller coaster of any relationship. We have both always loved these type of intimate country/Americana duets.”
When asked about future musical plans for 2024, Meghan told Countrymusic.co.uk that: “In 2024 we are each releasing our own solo music throughout the next few months culmulating into album releases. This song will be on each or our albums. We are also going to be touring to promote the music, and we hope to make it to the UK soon to do some shows! We love it there.”
