The finalists have been announced for the awards created by UKCountryRadio.com and celebrating the best in UK country music.
The Awards are:
- UK Country Artist Of The Year – the top award for a country music artist
- UK Country Album Of The Year
- UK Female Country Singer Of The Year
- UK Male Country Singer Of The Year
- UK Country Duo Of The Year
- UK Country Group Of The Year – for an artist comprising three or more individuals
- The UKCountryRadio.com Song Award
- The Gary Perkins Angel Award
The Awards are open to all British and Irish country music artists – or artists of other nationalities who are based in either the UK or Ireland.
The finalists will now be subject to a vote among UKCountryRadio.com’s Gold, Silver and Bronze Subscribers, our team of presenters and the award sponsors to determine the winners.
26 artists are finalists in the seven categories announced so far – The finalists for The Gary Perkins Angel Award will be announced later in July.
Familiar Names and Faces
Kezia Gill, Russel Kitchin, and Sarah Riches are each in the finals of three awards. Among them is the top UK Country Artist of the Year award, for which they are joined as finalists by Anthony O’Neill and the Murder, Dave Sutherland, Gasoline & Matches, Guy Surtees, Helena Mace, James Dunne and Liz Clarke.
Many of these finalists for 2024 are previous winners.
The winners will be announced on Saturday 28th September at The UK Country Music Awards at Radisson Blu Hotel Manchester AirportThe event includes a three-course celebratory awards dinner and a four-hour live concert.
The Heartland Roots Band, Russel Kitchin and Pilch are the first performers to be announced for the event with more to follow in the next few weeks.
