The Long Road Festival 2025: A Celebration of Country Music and Culture

Get ready to don your cowboy boots and immerse yourself in the world of country music as The Long Road Festival returns to the stunning grounds of Stanford Hall in Leicestershire from August 22-24, 2025. This year’s festival promises to be the biggest yet, with an exciting lineup of country, Americana, roots, and folk rock artists across six stages.

Headlining Performers and Lineup

The festival has just announced its first wave of performers, featuring major U.S. headliners Midland and Drake Milligan. In addition, a plethora of acclaimed artists from the U.S., U.K., and Australia will grace the stages, including BRIT, Mercury Prize, and GRAMMY nominee Seasick Steve, GRAMMY winner Fantastic Negrito, ARIA & Golden Guitar winner Fanny Lumsden, and RIAA Class of 2024 artist Alana Springsteen. Other notable artists include Larry Fleet, Charles Wesley Godwin, Evan Honer, Gareth, Elles Bailey, Ashley Monroe, Fancy Hagood, Trousdale, Halle Kearns, Kim Churchill, Rainbow Girls, Will Varley & The Southern Rust, Simeon Hammond Dallas, Steady Habits, Janet Devlin, Jaywalkers, and a European summer exclusive performance from Chuck Ragan.

Midland’s frontman, Mark Wystrach, expressed his excitement about performing at The Long Road for the first time, saying, “Getting to play our first U.K. outdoor festival in a beautiful setting, and getting to be headliners is gonna be amazing.”

Festival Highlights

Apart from the main stage performances, the festival will feature stages hosted by returning partners Loose Music and Color Me Country with Rissi Palmer, as well as a new stage partner, Snakefarm Records. Attendees can enjoy Nashville-style songwriter rounds, artist meet and greet opportunities, and afterparties to dance the night away.

Welcome Home Old Friend

The Long Road Festival is more than just a music event; it’s a celebration of the country lifestyle. Visitors can indulge in U.S.-inspired street food, American BBQ, craft beers, line dancing sessions, campfires, vintage funfair rides, a kids camp, Country-oke, the Lucky Dice Classic Car & Bike show, and more. The festival’s motto, “Welcome home old friend,” truly captures the warm and family-friendly atmosphere.

Accommodation Options

Festival-goers can choose from a variety of accommodation options to suit their preferences. These include General Camping, a Premium Campsite with upscale amenities, Live-in Vehicle Fields, Pitch & Park, and the luxurious Elwood Park riverside Glamping, provided by Green Yurts. From 2025, payment plans will be available to make glamping more affordable, offering luxurious options for those who want a little extra comfort. Additionally, Off Road Lodgings and shuttle bus packages are available in collaboration with local hotels.

New Additions for 2025

To celebrate its sixth year, The Long Road is introducing several new elements to enhance the festival experience:

  • The Rhinestone Stage (main stage) will open from Friday afternoon for all weekend attendees, featuring an exclusive headline set from Drake Milligan and more live performances. Friday access is available to all weekend Camping and No Camping ticket holders.
  • A brand-new sixth stage, complete with a hard wood floor perfect for line dancing, will debut in 2025. This undercover venue will host songwriter rounds, artist conversations, intimate performances, quizzes, and more, staying true to the festival’s authentic country charm.
  • Early Camping Access will be available as an optional paid add-on for those arriving on Thursday, August 21. This allows early arrivals to settle in, soak up the atmosphere, and gear up for an unforgettable weekend.
