Bristol is getting its own taste of Music City as Lil’ Nashville prepares to open its second UK venue, bringing live country music, line dancing, Southern-style food and a little Tennessee hospitality to the heart of the city.

The new country bar and kitchen on All Saints Street welcomed invited guests for its press launch tonight (Thursday 8 October), ahead of its official opening on Friday 9 October. The occasion marks another milestone for founders Rob and Helen, who have taken their passion for country music beyond London and into the South West.

Following the success of their original Lil’ Nashville venue in London, the pair have chosen Bristol for their next venture, attracted by the city’s lively nightlife, independent spirit and appetite for something different.

For country music fans across Bristol and the surrounding region, the opening promises a new home for live performances, country DJ nights and line dancing, alongside a food and drink offering inspired by the American South.

From London to Bristol

When CountryMusic.co.uk interviewed Helen and Rob at their original Lil Nashville venue in Chiswick in February 2025, they spoke enthusiastically about turning their shared love of country music into a place where fans could come together. Their journey had begun with pop-up events in Camden, before they found a former industrial space in West London that seemed perfectly suited to becoming a honky-tonk.

At the time, Helen explained that live music was central to their vision, with the aim of recreating the atmosphere of Nashville’s famous Broadway bars, where performers follow one another throughout the evening. Rob described country music as something the couple had discovered and enjoyed together, a shared escape from everyday life. Less than two years after opening in Chiswick, that vision is expanding beyond the capital, with Bristol becoming Lil’ Nashville’s second home.

That original vision is now taking another step forward with the arrival of Lil’ Nashville Bristol.

“We’ve both been lifelong country music fans, so Lil’ Nashville is a real passion project for us,” the founders explained ahead of the new opening. “We’ve always loved the atmosphere, music and energy of Nashville, and we wanted to create somewhere that brings that feeling to the UK.”

Bristol, they believe, is a natural next destination.

“Bristol felt like the perfect fit. It has such a lively nightlife and a fantastic independent business scene, and we felt there was a real opportunity to bring something different to the city.”

The expansion is also significant for the wider country music scene. While the number of country concerts, festivals and touring artists visiting the UK continues to grow, dedicated venues where fans can enjoy the music throughout the year remain an important part of developing a lasting community around the genre.

Live Music, Line Dancing and a Big Nash Bash

Music and entertainment will be at the heart of the new Bristol venue, with plans for regular live country performances, line dancing sessions, country DJ sets and special events.

The official opening celebrations begin on Friday 9 October with a Big Nash Bash, featuring live country music, line dancing, DJs and BBQ, with the party continuing into Saturday 10 October.

For the founders, the aim is to create somewhere that appeals to both established country fans and newcomers who might simply be looking for an entertaining night out.

“We’re particularly excited to bring country music to Bristol and the wider South West,” they said. “Whether people are already huge country fans or they’ve never tried line dancing before, we want Lil’ Nashville to be somewhere everyone can come together, have fun and enjoy a great night out.”

A Taste of the American South

Alongside the music, Lil’ Nashville Bristol is putting Southern-inspired cooking at the centre of its offering.

The menu features slow-smoked BBQ, including pulled pork smoked for 14 hours and brisket cooked for 16 hours, together with Nashville hot chicken, Southern fried chicken, burgers, loaded tater tots and mac and cheese.

Those who enjoy a little heat can tackle Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders in mild, hot or XXX hot varieties, while sharing dishes and a Southern-inspired drinks menu are designed to complement the social atmosphere.

It’s an approach that reflects the founders’ ambition to capture something of the Nashville experience, where music, food and hospitality come together.

“We want Lil’ Nashville to become a place people can make memories,” Rob and Helen added. “It’s not just about coming in for dinner or a drink – it’s about the music, the atmosphere, getting up and dancing and having a brilliant time with friends.”

The arrival of Lil’ Nashville in Bristol represents another welcome addition to the UK’s growing country music infrastructure, particularly outside London.

Dedicated country venues can play an important role in introducing new audiences to the music, giving emerging performers somewhere to play and providing fans with opportunities to meet and enjoy the genre beyond major concerts and festivals.

For Rob and Helen, the immediate priority is welcoming Bristol through the doors and establishing Lil’ Nashville as part of the city’s nightlife.

“We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome Bristol and the South West to Lil’ Nashville.”

Lil’ Nashville Bristol officially opens on Friday 9 October 2026 at All Saints Street, Bristol, BS1 2LZ, with opening celebrations continuing on Saturday 10 October.
