The UK Country Music Association has revealed the four rising artists set to take the spotlight at this year’s UK‑CMA Takeover at Country Calling Festival. The announcement follows the conclusion of the 2026 Road To Country Calling competition, which invited emerging acts from across the scene to submit their music for consideration by an independent industry panel.

After weeks of listening, reviewing and debating, the panel selected four standout artists who will now join the festival lineup on Friday 14 August 2026 at Kings Farm in Chelmsford. Each act brings a distinct sound and growing momentum within the UK country and Americana community.

The artists chosen for the 2026 UK‑CMA Takeover are:

  • Ben Hutcheson
A powerful voice from the South West, known for his gravel‑toned delivery and emotionally charged songwriting.
  • Buckle N Boots
Now performing as a solo artist, Bee brings heartfelt storytelling, warm vocals and the grassroots spirit that has long connected her with UK country fans.
  • Glimtvis
A fresh and atmospheric project blending Nordic influences with contemporary Americana textures – Nordicana if you will!
  • Kerryl Phillips
Kerryl Phillips is a rising voice in UK country music, known for his emotive storytelling and rich, resonant vocals.

The UK‑CMA Takeover has become a key platform for spotlighting new talent at Country Calling, offering festivalgoers the chance to discover artists on the cusp of wider recognition. This year’s winners promise a dynamic mix of styles and stories, adding even more depth to an already packed festival weekend.

Country Calling organisers say they are thrilled to welcome the four acts to the 2026 bill and look forward to seeing them take the stage in front of a growing and passionate audience.
