Garth Brooks continues his remarkable return to Ireland with two major outdoor concerts at UPMC Nowlan Park in Kilkenny on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 June 2027. The performances form part of his ambitious ten-date Irish Tour, which sees the country music superstar travel across five cities following the phenomenal success of his five-night residency at Dublin’s Croke Park in 2022.

Few American country artists have enjoyed such a lasting relationship with Irish audiences. Brooks, whose family heritage includes Irish roots through his mother, first performed in Ireland in 1994 before returning for memorable Croke Park concerts in 1997. His planned five-night residency in 2014 was famously cancelled, making his eventual return in September 2022 particularly emotional. Around 400,000 fans attended those five sold-out performances, reaffirming his extraordinary place in Irish popular music.
Throughout a career spanning more than three decades, Brooks has combined traditional country storytelling with the energy and spectacle of arena rock. His best-known recordings include Friends in Low Places, The Thunder Rolls, The Dance, If Tomorrow Never Comes and Ain’t Goin’ Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up’). His live performances are celebrated for their powerful singalongs, spontaneous moments and the close connection he creates with audiences, even in the largest stadiums.
The Kilkenny concerts bring that experience to UPMC Nowlan Park, the historic home of Kilkenny GAA, for what promises to be a memorable weekend of country music. With Brooks taking his 2027 tour beyond Dublin and into cities across Ireland, fans in the south-east have an opportunity to experience one of the genre’s most influential performers much closer to home.
