Jake Vaadeland and The Sturgeon River Boys UK Tour 2026
Jake Vaadeland & The Sturgeon River Boys bring their unique brand of country music to the UK with the upcoming “Jake Vaadeland and The Sturgeon River Boys UK Tour 2026.” Hailing from the expansive Saskatchewan prairies in Canada, Jake Vaadeland and his band craft a compelling fusion of bluegrass and 1950s rockabilly that shines through their foot-stomping, energetic performances. Led by Jake, a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, their sound is distinguished by his engaging vocals and storytelling combined with skilled guitar and banjo work. Jake’s slick-backed hair and vintage suits add a contemporary flair to the traditional bluegrass aesthetic, making their live shows both visually and musically captivating.
Throughout his career, Jake Vaadeland has proven himself on notable stages such as JunoFest, CCMA Week, and AmericanaFest in Nashville, opening for acclaimed artists including Dean Brody and Charley Crockett. He has also earned recognition through a Western Canadian Music Award nomination for ‘Roots Artist of the Year’ and a Saskatchewan Country Music Award for ‘Alternative Country Album of the Year.’ Most recently, Jake released the 17-track album “This Is Jake Vaadeland” on May 22, 2026. The album blends traditional songs with original compositions inspired by his early influences and deep family history rooted in rural Saskatchewan. Recorded at Calgary’s National Music Centre and co-produced with Joel Rohs, it offers a warm and analog sound that beautifully captures a sense of time and place.
