Live at Acanteen brings a monthly evening of original country, Americana and roots music to the seated Acanteen venue in Chelmsford, taking place on the second Thursday of each month.

Sorrel Nation – Full Band

The November edition welcomes Sorrel Nation and her full band to Chelmsford. A travelling troubadour with a soulful blend of folk-rock, Americana and country, Sorrel combines emotive songwriting with a 1970s-inspired sound and a distinctive, soulful voice.

Following appearances at festivals including Black Deer, the Isle of Wight Festival and Cambridge Folk Festival, Sorrel has built a growing reputation on the UK live circuit. Her 2024 releases included the Thirty Summers live EP and her critically acclaimed debut studio album, Lost En Route, which was followed by extensive touring across the UK.

She continued touring throughout 2025, alongside the vinyl release of Lost En Route and the Live and Acoustic EP, recorded during a trip to Scotland. After further touring in spring 2026, Sorrel returns to the road in late autumn, with a new studio album planned for release around November.

And yes – Sorrel Nation really is her name.
