A new chapter for The British Country Music Festival begins in 2027 as the event leaves Blackpool after seven years and relaunches in Manchester as Song City, the UK & International Country and Americana Festival.

Taking place at Manchester Central from 27–29 August, Song City will be a three-day indoor music discovery festival championing UK and international country, Americana and roots singer-songwriters. Organisers are planning four stages and more than 100 artists, with Central Hall hosting the festival’s main stage alongside a new theatre for acoustic performances.

The expanded festival will also feature showcases, fringe events, dance classes and immersive experiences. Ahead of the main weekend, a new Songwriters Expo will take place at Manchester Central on 25–26 August, supporting independent songwriters from across all genres.

Founders Tickets

To mark the launch of Song City, organisers have released a limited first wave of Founders Tickets, initially offered to supporters of The British Country Music Festival. These are guaranteed to be the best-value tickets available for the inaugural 2027 festival.

Founding Members will also receive exclusive lifetime benefits and a place on the Song City Wall of Fame, marking their involvement in the festival’s first year in Manchester.

The current Founders Ticket offer is available until midnight on Sunday 13 September 2026.
