The Big C – Country Against Cancer returns to Fallow Forest in Cannock on Saturday 7 August 2027 for another day of live country music, community spirit and fundraising.
Established in 2024 and organised by Laura Meeson, The Big C is an independent, not-for-profit country music festival raising money for local cancer charities. The event brings together artists and country music fans while supporting people living with cancer in the local community.
The 2027 line-up is still to be announced, with organisers currently searching for artists to take to the main stage. More details, including performers, timings and ticket information, will be added as they are confirmed.
What to expect
While the full programme for 2027 is still to be announced, previous editions give a good idea of what visitors can expect from The Big C. The 2026 festival combined a full afternoon and evening of live country music with a songwriters round, line dancing between sets and fundraising activities, all within the relaxed surroundings of Fallow Forest.
The 2026 line-up featured Jake O’Neill as headliner alongside Sarah Riches & The Dreamcatchers, Gary Quinn, Gasoline & Matches and The Acoustic Rainbow, plus a songwriters round with Guy Surtees, Mikki Evans and Becky Tate.
Away from the stage, the day included line-dancing lessons and a charity raffle, while Fallow Forest Café provided food and sweet treats and O’Neills Bar served alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. With The Big C returning to the same venue in 2027, expect another community-focused day combining UK country music, dancing and fundraising for local cancer charities.
