Virginia Dirt Live at The Carlton Tavern, London
Virginia Dirt is a compelling outlaw Country/Americana duo that has been steadily making a name for themselves in the UK country music scene. Featuring the expressive vocals and songwriting of Virgie Lynne alongside the multi-instrumental talents of Corrado Cecere, the pair delivers a sound that masterfully balances honky-tonk charm with gritty polish. Virgie Lynne’s roots stretch back to the Great Dismal Swamp region in the southern United States. Her heritage and influences, drawn from legendary figures like Waylon Jennings and the Bakersfield pioneers Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, are woven into songs that carry wit, joy, and a hint of despair, earning her comparisons to the songwriting great Jimmy Webb. Corrado, meanwhile, brings a unique blend of influences ranging from metal and swamp blues to traditional country, lending a timeless yet playful edge to their music.
Virginia Dirt launched their career with an impressive debut, supporting renowned Nashville artist Sunny Sweeney. Since then, their music has gained international airplay and found its way onto popular Spotify playlists such as Trending Country. This exposure, along with support from influential outlets like Black Deer Radio and Sirius XM’s Eric Alper, has cemented their position in the industry. Fans eagerly anticipate the release of their debut album, Miss Dirt To You, slated for April 25, 2025. This release, mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, promises a rich listening experience that captures the duo’s authentic country roots with a fresh twist. Following the album’s launch, Virginia Dirt will headline at the Green Note in London, further showcasing their distinctive style and undeniable stage presence.
