For the past 13 Years, The Anchor at Wingham has been an important part of the local live music scene. When we arrived in the area in 2002 Music in East Kent was virtually non existent with very few pubs or venues putting on live music, however over the years that followed, organisations like Lounge on The Farm, Smugglers Records, Woodnestock and Folk in The Barn and Promoters like Will Greenham, Debs Earl and Pete Hanscomb started to put that right. And the Live Music Act 2012 de regulating smaller shows really helped and opened the doors for most Pubs to put on live acts.
