Brian Allison
Singer-Songwriter
Brian Allison is a Nashville-based Americana singer-songwriter and two-time Josie Music Award winner, recognised as Americana Artist of the Year (Male) and for Americana Song of the Year with “Worth Breaking”. Rooted in family, legacy and heartfelt storytelling, his music blends timeless Americana influences with a contemporary, road-worn edge. Originally from the Chicagoland area, Allison comes from a multi-generational musical family that included big-band performers Lynn Allison and Gloria Van, while his multi-instrumentalist father became both his mentor and an early songwriting partner.
Following his father’s death in 2012, Allison committed himself fully to the musical dream they had shared, becoming a full-time performer in 2016. His catalogue includes the albums Back in the Middle, Waiting on You and For Now, alongside a growing collection of singles. Among his most notable songs is the award-winning “Worth Breaking”, co-written with Dave Pahanish, while 2024’s “Music City” carried particular personal significance: the track was written with Allison’s four children, with his daughter June also contributing backing vocals.

Since relocating to Nashville with his wife and children in 2021, Allison has continued to build an international audience through regular touring and recording. His 2025 European dates included performances across the UK, Ireland, Germany, France and Scandinavia, giving British country and Americana listeners the opportunity to experience his warm, soul-driven songwriting firsthand. His latest release, “Ordinary Day”, continues that tradition of honest storytelling, finding emotional weight in everyday life while carrying forward the family-centred musical legacy at the heart of his work.
