Brooke Eden

Brooke Eden is an American country music singer and songwriter who rose to fame after competing in American Idol. She was born on December 30, 1988 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and grew up in Loxahatchee, Florida. She developed an interest in music at a young age through accompanying her father to performances of his as a drummer in a local country group. She played local music festivals and opened for such acts as Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn. She graduated from the University of Florida and moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her career.
Eden auditioned for both the seventh and tenth seasons of American Idol, making it to Hollywood week on the former. She signed with Red Bow Records in 2015 after generating interest for her self-released single "American Dreamin'". She released two EPs, Brooke Eden and Welcome to the Weekend, and several singles, including "Daddy's Money", "Diamonds", and "Act Like You Don't". Her music is influenced by pop, rock, and soul, and showcases her powerful vocals and personal storytelling. She has been praised by Billboard as a "fiery country star-in-the-making" and named one of CMT's Next Women of Country.
Eden is also an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and representation in the country music industry, as she publicly came out as queer in 2021 and married her longtime girlfriend Hilary Hoover in 2022. She has used her personal journey to self-acceptance to create music that is both bold and passionate with the message that it is okay to be who you are. She released new songs "No Shade" and "Sunroof" in 2021, which celebrate her love and freedom. She continues to tour and perform across the country, sharing her music and her story with her fans.
