Callum Kerr
Singer-Songwriter
Scottish‑born and Nashville‑based, Callum Kerr has quickly become one of the most intriguing new voices linking the UK and US country scenes. Known to many UK fans initially through his acting roles in Hollyoaks, Virgin River and One Piece, Kerr’s shift into music was anything but a side project. Country music has been part of his story from childhood, shaped by a grandfather who adored Willie Nelson and a father who filled the house with Garth Brooks. That early spark eventually led him to Texas, where the sheer volume of country radio and a crash course in classic songs ignited a passion that would pull him toward Nashville.

After spending six months cutting his teeth on the Nashville scene, Kerr released his debut single Tequila Therapy in 2023, marking the official start of his recording career. In 2025 he followed it with his six‑track EP Roots Under Me, produced by Dann and David Huff and released via ONErpm/Huff Co. The project blends heartbreak, rock‑leaning energy, love songs and hometown storytelling, reflecting the breadth of Kerr’s influences and his desire to create something fans can “bop to” while still feeling the emotional weight behind the writing.
The EP’s release also brought a milestone few emerging artists achieve so early: an invitation from Dustin Lynch to make his Grand Ole Opry debut, which Kerr fulfilled the very next day. For UK country fans, his journey feels like a full‑circle moment – a Scottish artist who found his musical identity in Texas, honed it in Nashville and is now carving out a place on both sides of the Atlantic. With more new music on the horizon and performances at major events including CMA Fest, Kerr is fast becoming a name to watch in the growing wave of UK‑rooted country talent making its mark in the US.
