Curtis Justin Solar Jr., known professionally as CJ Solar, is an American country music singer-songwriter born on September 26, 1992, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue his music career and has since become known for his unique blend of country, southern rock, and grunge influences. Solar cites Southern rock acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Creedence Clearwater Revival, as well as 1990s grunge bands such as Nirvana and Soundgarden, as major influences on his music.
Solar's career took off with the release of his debut EP, "Hard One to Turn Down," in 2016, which received critical acclaim for its fusion of country storytelling and rocking rhythms. He has since released several EPs and singles, including "Get Away With It" and "Coming My Way," which have garnered millions of streams and high chart positions.
