Dea Matrona

Dea Matrona

Dea Matrona is a rock band from Belfast, Ireland, that consists of three members: Orlaith Forsythe, Mollie McGinn and Mamie McGinn. They formed in 2018 and are inspired by 60s and 70s rock ‘n’ roll music, as well as country music and americana music.

They started busking on the streets of Belfast and gained a large online following with their videos of performing covers of classic rock songs, such as “Whole Lotta Love”, “Cradle Rock” and “I’ll Be Here in the Morning”. They have also supported artists like Eagles of Death Metal, Feeder, Van Morrison and Black Eyed Peas.

They have released two EPs, Dea Matrona (2020) and Dea Matrona 2 (2021), which feature songs like “Stamp On It”, “Glory Glory (I Am Free)” and “Red Button”. They are known for their energetic live shows, their catchy melodies and their Celtic mythology-inspired name.
