Devan

Devan

Devan’s roots run deep in the farmland of March, Cambridgeshire, where he is a proud third‑generation local. His grandfather, a well‑known and respected shepherd in the community, passed down not only a strong work ethic but also a love of country and folk music. Those early days singing traditional songs together in the Cambridgeshire countryside shaped Devan’s soulful, emotive voice and his connection to Americana. Every note he sings carries the warmth of those memories, and there’s a sense that his grandfather’s influence still guides him.

Throughout his school and college years, Devan seized every opportunity to perform, gradually building the confidence that would lead him onto professional stages. Years of gigging across the region helped him refine his craft, but it was the desire to tell his own stories that pushed him further. Writing his own material allowed him to carve out a more authentic artistic identity, one rooted in personal experience, rural upbringing and the emotional honesty that defines UK Americana.

In August 2025, Devan began collaborating with the award‑winning songwriting team Patchwork Music on his debut EP, a collection that introduces him to the UK country scene with striking clarity. The songs explore themes close to his heart: his grandfather’s legacy, the pull of home and the realities of growing up in the countryside. His debut single, Wyatt Earp, released on 3 April 2026, marks the first chapter of this new era, showcasing the grit, texture and emotional range that industry professionals are already recognising as one of the most compelling new voices in UK country. Though he has never left March, his voice is now carrying him far beyond it.
