Dom Glynn
Singer-Songwriter
Dom Glynn is a dynamic singer-songwriter hailing from Birmingham, UK. At the young age of 27, he relocated to London in 2016, where he has since carved out a niche for himself in the music scene through consistent solo performances. His music is deeply rooted in the traditions of iconic songwriters like Bob Dylan and Hank Williams Sr., while his guitar style pays homage to the fingerpicking finesse of Mississippi John Hurt and Doc Watson. Dom’s dedication to his craft and his powerful live shows have earned him a reputation as a formidable performer.
In the bustling independent music circuit of London, Dom Glynn has aligned with Spiritual Records, contributing to his growing discography. His works include an E.P. titled ‘Waster’s Blues’ released in 2019, a string of singles such as ‘Never Free at All’ (2019), ‘Ain’t No Cowboys’, ‘Paper Crown’ & ‘Wound Within’ (2020), and ‘Every Spare Penny’ (2023). His album ‘The Devil Knows’ dropped in 2023, marking that year as a significant milestone in his career. Dom’s talent was further recognized through support slots with UK Blues legends Jack Broadbent and Ian Siegal.
Beyond his solo endeavors, Dom Glynn has also made waves with his band, Dom Glynn and his Sunday Best, an Americana group formed in London in 2023. The band features the fiddle virtuosity of Dr. Duncan Menzies, the spirited drumming of Carmen Ruiz Vicente, and the harmonious bass-playing of Jack Trouble. Together, they create a sound that’s both invigorating and infectious, compelling audiences to dance and revel in the music. With regular gigs at venues like The Dukes of Highgate and Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues Bar, and plans to release new singles and an E.P. in 2024, Dom Glynn and his Sunday Best are on a trajectory to captivate the hearts of music lovers everywhere.
