Drew Young is a seasoned singer/songwriter with a career spanning over two decades. His musical journey began at the tender age of nine when he received his first acoustic guitar. Drew quickly mastered the Eagles songbook before transitioning to writing his own music. During his college years at the University of Georgia, he formed the all-original band Ruben Kincaid, which became a staple of the college music circuit.
After a successful run with Ruben Kincaid, Drew ventured into the music industry, working as an A&R assistant at London Records and later as the assistant music supervisor for the TV show "The Big Easy" in New Orleans. His passion for music led him to study audio engineering at the Recording Workshop, and he eventually took on roles at Clinton Recording Studios and Putumayo World Music.
Drew's solo career took off with the release of several albums, including "Better Than Pretend" and "Bourbon & Bad Decisions." His music, often described as Americana, resonates with themes of longing, love, loss, and learning. Drew has collaborated with renowned artists such as Dr. John, Anders Osborne, Jon Cleary, Marc Broussard, and Brady Blade.
Known for his refreshingly honest and defiantly original style, Drew continues to tour internationally, captivating audiences with his insightful and mercurial performances. His latest album, "Bourbon & Bad Decisions," has garnered over 2 million streams, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
