Elle King is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and actress who has been active in the music industry since 1998. Her musical style is influenced by country, rock, and blues, and she plays various instruments such as guitar, bass, banjo, drums, and lap steel. She is the daughter of actor and comedian Rob Schneider and former model London King, but she uses her mother's surname to distinguish herself and her career.

She released her debut EP, The Elle King EP, in 2012, which featured the song "Playing for Keeps", the theme song for VH1's Mob Wives Chicago series. Her debut album, Love Stuff, came out in 2015 and produced the hit single "Ex's & Oh's", which reached the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100 and earned her two Grammy Award nominations. She has also collaborated with other artists such as Of Monsters and Men, Train, James Bay, The Chicks, Heart, Joan Jett, Michael Kiwanuka, and Miranda Lambert.

She is a four-time Grammy Award nominee, two each in the rock and country categories, and has received honors from the Country Music Association Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. She is known for her powerful vocals, witty lyrics, and rebellious attitude. She has also appeared in several films and TV shows, such as Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Benchwarmers, Wild Cherry, and Love, Weddings & Other Disasters. She is currently working on her third studio album, which is expected to be released in 2024
