Golden Shoals

Golden Shoals

Golden Shoals is an Americana duo from Nashville, Tennessee, composed of Amy Alvey on fiddle and vocals, and Mark Kilianski on guitar and vocals. Their music blends traditional bluegrass and old-time influences with modern songwriting and experimentation. They have been praised for their "rousing old-time-style music that’s fueled by acerbic modern-day wit” (-No Depression Magazine).

The duo met in Boston in 2013 and started performing as Hoot and Holler, releasing three albums under that name. They toured extensively across the US and Europe, honing their craft and winning several awards at prestigious folk festivals. In 2020, they changed their name to Golden Shoals, reflecting their evolution as artists and their connection to the natural world.
