Grand Hazards

Country Rock Band

Grand Hazards are a country and rock band from Brighton, bringing together traditional country storytelling, Americana ballads and the energy of classic rock. With rich vocal harmonies, grooving rhythms and plenty of guitar, their sound draws on American roots music while retaining a distinctly British character. Hailing from what they playfully describe as the UK’s “Deep South”, they balance thoughtful songwriting with a relaxed sense of humour.

The band began with three friends from Brighton and a shared enthusiasm for making country music. Their influences reach into the genre’s golden era, drawing inspiration from storytellers and distinctive voices including Marty Robbins, Glen Campbell and Blaze Foley. Those foundations inform a style that places melody, harmony and lyrical character at its heart, with room for both reflective moments and a more spirited country rock approach.

Live performance is central to Grand Hazards’ identity, giving their harmonies and guitar work space to shine. Appearances at Brighton venues including The Folklore Rooms and Alphabet have brought their music to local audiences, with sets built around engaging songs, rhythmic drive and an evident affection for country tradition. For UK listeners drawn to classic country, roots music and guitar-led Americana, Grand Hazards bring a south coast perspective to a sound with deep transatlantic roots.
