Hermanos Gutiérrez
Latin
Hermanos Gutiérrez are a Latin instrumental band from Switzerland, composed of brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez. They play guitar and lap steel, blending Latin and Western influences in their music. They have released five albums, the latest being El Bueno y el Malo, produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. Their music has been praised for its lyrical and cinematic quality, and they have performed on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series.
- They started playing together in 2015, after a jam session in Alejandro's apartment in Zürich.
- They are inspired by their Ecuadorian heritage, their travels to Mexico and the US, and composers like Ennio Morricone.
- They record their albums independently, and often design their own artwork.
