Josh Turner is an American country and gospel singer and songwriter, known for his deep, rich voice and traditional style. He rose to fame in 2003 with his debut album Long Black Train, which featured his breakthrough single of the same name. Since then, he has released seven more albums and scored several No. 1 hits, such as Your Man, Would You Go With Me, Why Don't We Just Dance, and Hometown Girl. He is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry and a devout Christian. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife and four sons.
He moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend Belmont University and pursue a music career. Josh Turner made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in 2001 with his self-written song "Long Black Train", which received a standing ovation. He signed to MCA Nashville Records in 2003 and released his debut album Long Black Train, which was certified platinum.
