His second album, Experiment, came out in 2018, and became his first number one album on the Billboard 200. He has also collaborated with artists like Khalid, Marshmello, and Lauren Alaina. He is known for his catchy and emotional songs, such as "What Ifs", "Heaven", and "Lose It". He has won several awards, including the American Music Award for Favorite Male Country Artist in 2018 and 2019 .
