Lauren Watkins is a rising country star who was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She grew up surrounded by music, influenced by artists like Sheryl Crow, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, and Miranda Lambert. She started performing in local bars and honky tonks with her sister Caroline, who is also a songwriter, when she was a teenager.
Watkins briefly attended Ole Miss for college, but realized that music was her true passion and returned to Nashville to pursue her career. She signed with Big Loud Records and Songs & Daughters, a female-focused label imprint led by Grammy-winning songwriter Nicolle Galyon. She released her debut single, "The Table", in November 2023, which showcases her authentic, barstool charm and gravelly voice.
Watkins is currently working on her first EP, "Introducing..." which is expected to drop in 2024. She has been praised by critics and fans alike for her honest and relatable songwriting, as well as her captivating live performances. She is one of the most promising new artists in the country music scene, and has been featured on outlets like Country Swag, Entertainment Focus, and Holler.
