Singer-Songwriter

Lucy Shaw is a Birmingham-based singer-songwriter whose acoustic folk-country style has earned her recognition across the UK’s independent music scene. With a voice that blends charm and grit, she crafts songs that take listeners on a storytelling journey—whether reflecting on personal growth, social issues, or the quiet poetry of everyday life. A winner of GT’s Records Young Entertainer of the Year in 2015, Lucy has since built a reputation for emotionally resonant performances and lyrical authenticity.

She’s supported artists like Mahalia, Jerry Williams, and Ben Ottewell on national and European tours, and has performed at venues across Liverpool, London, Nottingham, and her native Birmingham. Her music has received national radio play via BBC Introducing and other regional stations, with standout tracks like “Dear God, Dear Devil” and “Beans on Toast” showcasing her distinctive voice and songwriting flair.

Beyond the stage, Lucy’s commitment to her craft is evident in her growing discography and continued evolution as an artist. Drawing comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Lucy Spraggan, and Lily Allen, she brings a quirky, no-nonsense edge to her lyrics while maintaining a warm, engaging presence. Whether performing to intimate rooms or festival crowds, Lucy Shaw leaves audiences moved, uplifted, and eager to hear what comes next.
