Marty Stuart is a singer, songwriter, and musician who specializes in country and bluegrass music. He was born on September 30, 1958, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and started playing guitar and mandolin at a young age. He joined the band of bluegrass legend Lester Flatt when he was 13, and later became a member of Johnny Cash's band in the 1980s. He also recorded with other famous artists such as Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Adele, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, P!nk, Sheryl Crow, Santana and many more.

Stuart launched his solo career in 1985 with his self-titled debut album on Columbia Records. He achieved his greatest commercial success in the early 1990s with hits such as "Hillbilly Rock", "Tempted", "Burn Me Down", and "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'", a duet with Travis Tritt. He has won eight Grammy Awards, 15 ACM Awards, and 15 CMA Awards for his music. He is also known for his distinctive style of dressing, which often includes colorful suits, cowboy hats, and scarves.

Stuart is the leader of the band The Fabulous Superlatives, which consists of Kenny Vaughan on guitar, Harry Stinson on drums, and Chris Scruggs on bass. They have released several albums together, such as Country Music (2003), Ghost Train: The Studio B Sessions (2010), Saturday Night / Sunday Morning (2014), and Way Out West (2017). Stuart is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame. He hosts his own TV show called The Marty Stuart Show on RFD-TV, which features live performances and interviews with other country artists.

Stuart is married to country singer Connie Smith since 1997. He is also a supporter of various social causes, such as anti-racism, anti-fascism, and anti-war movements. He is widely regarded as one of the most talented and respected songwriters in the country music genre.
