Miko Marks

Miko Marks is an American country singer and songwriter who has been dubbed “the Dolly Parton of Black country music” by Rolling Stone. She grew up in Flint, Michigan, where she sang in church and learned to play guitar.
She moved to Nashville in 2005, where she released two albums, Freeway Bound and It Feels Good, which won her several awards from the Bay Area Music Chapter and the Nashville Tracker. She also performed at the Grand Ole Opry and the Lincoln Center, and opened for artists like Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, and Rascal Flatts.
After a hiatus from the music industry, she returned in 2021 with her third album, Our Country, which addressed social issues and celebrated Black culture.
