Oakley Starr is an Americana roots duo featuring Lauren Jennifer and Ziggy Phoenix serving powerful reinterpretations of classic, well-loved country and blues songs, with southern-inspired harmonies. Their name Oakley Starr is inspired by Annie Oakley and Belle Starr, two of the fiercest female gunslingers in the West.
Lauren Jennifer, also known as “The Goth Cowgirl,” brings a unique blend of Americana with a rock ‘n’ roll soul. Born and raised in Suffolk, UK, Lauren’s musical journey began in local musical theatre. Her diverse musical influences, ranging from punk to reggae, have shaped her distinctive sound, which combines rock, country, and blues. With emotive, powerful vocals & a unique approach to songwriting, her music is influenced by her love of country, rock & blues music. It’s these genres she blends together to create her distinctive sound. She has shared lineups with the likes of Liberty X & Toploader & is known for her hip wiggling, boot stomping,high energy performances.
Ziggy Phoenix complements Lauren’s style with her own musical flair.
With their powerhouse vocals, stage presence, and beautifully blended harmonies, Oakley Starr are already making a name for themselves within the independent music scene. They've recently finished writing their debut single and plan to release their EP next year.
