Phoenix Rose

Singer-Songwriter

Formally known as Rachel Rose, Phoenix Rose is back with a new name, a bigger sound, and a deeper purpose. In a world becoming more disconnected, Phoenix believes music is the way to tell stories, and communicate in a way that is slowly disappearing. Having a journey in the industry spanning 15 years, she has performed at venues such as Wembley and Hammersmith Apollo, and festivals such as Glastonbury.

Phoenix has an understanding of what it feels like to be lost, broken down and hopeless; feelings she never wishes for anyone else; her music is her way of extending a hand and pulling people in. She says she writes and sings to speak to the misfits, the outcasts, the heartbroken, the disconnected, the girls girl, the team player, the warriors, the survivors and the deepest believers that anything is possible.

Five minutes gives the impression of a happy beat tune, with a summery pop vibe, but as the lyrics kick in, it takes you on an emotional journey through the pain of uncovering lies, or truths. This song represents the in between moments where you just can’t seem to figure out what to do or feel so you do everything at once. Phoenix used this song to document her own pain in hope she can connect with others going through, or who have been through similar stories. Not only that, but people who can enjoy a summer beat, and sing out every word. The follow up EP, How Do You See This? (Due to come out end of summer) will be the continued story of what happens next.
