Sam Outlaw, born Sam Morgan in Aberdeen, South Dakota, is a country music singer-songwriter known for his unique blend of classic country, honky-tonk, and Americana with a Southern California twist. Raised in a conservative Christian home, Sam's musical journey began with influences from Western Swing band Asleep at the Wheel and The Beatles. His passion for country music deepened after discovering the voices of Emmylou Harris and George Jones, inspiring him to take up the guitar and songwriting.

Before pursuing music full-time, Sam worked as an advertising executive in Southern California. However, on his 30th birthday, he decided to follow his musical dreams, self-releasing an EP in 2014 that quickly gained attention. This led to performances at major festivals like Stagecoach and AmericanaFest, and a record deal with Six Shooter Records. His debut album, "Angeleno," produced by Ry Cooder, received critical acclaim and established Sam as a rising star in the country music scene.

Sam Outlaw's subsequent albums, "Tenderheart" and "Popular Mechanics," continued to garner praise and awards, solidifying his place in the industry. He has toured extensively, sharing the stage with renowned artists like John Prine, Kacey Musgraves, and Dwight Yoakam. In 2018, Sam moved to Nashville, making his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2019. His latest album, "Terra Cotta," showcases his evolving sound and has been well-received by fans and critics alike. Sam Outlaw's journey from advertising executive to celebrated country artist is a testament to his dedication and love for music.
