Sean Mearns is a rising country music artist from Edinburgh whose story is as heartfelt as the songs he sings. A working-class dad-of-two and former maintenance worker, Sean’s journey into music began in the snug of his home, strumming his guitar and singing for himself—until a spontaneous Facebook Live performance changed everything.

Specialising in a blend of Scottish, Irish, and American country styles, Sean’s voice carries the grit of lived experience and the warmth of family roots. His debut single, She Wanted Him, released on 13 June 2025, marked a turning point—earning over 60,000 streams and capturing hearts across the UK and beyond.

Now fronting the Sean Mearns Band, he’s set to light up the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a 12-night run of Country Music All Stars, covering legends like Johnny Cash, Chris Stapleton, and Luke Combs. With a motto of “go big or go home,” Sean’s performances are packed with passion, authenticity, and a deep love for the genre.
