The Hanging Stars are a London-based cosmic country-folk band known for their evocative songwriting and atmospheric sound. The band comprises singer, songwriter, and guitarist Richard Olson, guitarist Patrick Ralla, bassist Paul Milne, and drummer Paulie Cobra. Since their formation in 2015, The Hanging Stars have released several acclaimed albums. Their sixth album, 'Just A Day', was released on 19 June 2026. Recorded at Edwyn Collins' Clashnarrow Studios in the Scottish Highlands, the album was produced with the guidance of Gerard Love of Teenage Fanclub. The album features tracks like 'All Your Yesterdays', 'The Glasshouse', and 'Sister Of The Sun', showcasing the band's evolution and continued relevance in the cosmic country-folk genre.
The band has an active touring schedule, with upcoming performances in the UK. Notable dates include 28 August 2026 at Stanford Hall in Lutterworth, 4 September 2026 at Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield, and 7 October 2026 at St Stephen's Church in Ipswich.
