The Jackson Line is a modern country band from Essex, UK, that has been making music together for over 20 years. The band consists of Keith Porter, Jamie Cook and Jim Cross, who share a passion for storytelling, harmonies and guitars. They write and perform original songs that blend classic country pop with contemporary influences, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Band of Heathens, Brad Paisley, Brett Eldredge and Zac Brown Band.
The band's name is a tribute to The Band of Heathens, whose songs Jackson Station and The Second Line sparked their interest in switching genres. The band's debut EP, Don't Wait, was released in 2017 and featured five songs, including the catchy California and the emotional Feeling's Gone. The band followed up with singles such as Liza Jane, Solutions and Don't You Know, showcasing their versatility and growth as songwriters and musicians.
The band has also been active on the live scene, performing at various venues and festivals across the UK, such as Buckle and Boots, Dixie Fields and Millport Country Music Festival. They have also been featured in several online publications and interviews, such as Six Shooter Country, Country in the UK and Think Country. They have gained a loyal fan base who appreciate their authentic and engaging style of country music.
