Winding Roots is a British folk-country duo comprising Kirzy on guitar and vocals, and Becky Gilman on violin. After years of living and performing in Fuerteventura, they began spending summers in the UK and Ireland, drawing inspiration from these experiences to enhance their folk and upbeat live performances. In 2025, Kirzy released a song every two weeks, many featuring Becky on violin, leading to the formation of Winding Roots. They have since relocated to York, where they continue to write, perform, and tour.
In August 2026, Winding Roots collaborated with Canadian duo April Moon for a special double-header show at Coopers Warehouse Arts Centre in Southport, UK. This event featured full sets from both duos, culminating in a collaborative finale that showcased their musical chemistry and storytelling prowess. The performance was a celebration of friendship, collaboration, and the joy of live music, leaving audiences with lasting memories of the evening's harmonious blend of talents.
