UK country singer-songwriter Bee Ounsworth, known to many fans through BUCKLE N BOOTS, is preparing to release her new five-track EP, This Far, on Friday 9 October 2026.

Described by Ounsworth as a reflection of her “journey so far”, the EP moves between upbeat country and more intimate, stripped-back moments, with each of its five tracks capturing a different part of her story.

One of the songs at the heart of the project is “My Kinda Country”, a distinctly British take on the country anthem. Rather than borrowing wholesale from Nashville imagery, Ounsworth celebrates the country community from her own side of the Atlantic, with pubs, pints, Sunday roasts, cups of tea and the reliably rainy British weather all finding their way into the song.

It is a playful way of making a more serious point: country music might have its roots elsewhere, but the storytelling and sense of community that surround it can feel just as much at home in the UK.

“Different traditions, but the same love for storytelling, music and everything that makes country feel like home.”

There is also a familiar song waiting at the end of the EP. “Best Part of Me (Acoustic)” revisits a BUCKLE N BOOTS original in a stripped-back arrangement, putting greater emphasis on the emotion and innocence behind the song.

For Ounsworth, the five tracks together represent both the highs and the more difficult moments that have brought her to this point.

“This Far is exactly that – my journey so far,” she says. “The ups, the downs and everything in between.”

This Far by Bee Ounsworth is released across major streaming and download platforms on 9 October 2026.
