A Different Thread – Over Again UK Tour 2026

American roots and British folk-rock beautifully converge in the transatlantic duo A Different Thread, composed of North Carolina’s Alicia Best and UK-born Robert Jackson. Their partnership, which began with a chance encounter busking on the streets of Ireland, has blossomed into a compelling musical collaboration. Across their career, they have harmoniously blended Appalachian blues, alt-country, and British folk styles, marked by close harmonies and richly crafted storytelling.

In 2026, A Different Thread released their third studio album, Over Again, an evocative collection shaped by themes of resilience, grief, change, and hope. This work reflects their personal journey—reuniting and settling together after years spent navigating the challenges of distance. The album’s title track was recognised with the Folk/Americana award at the International Acoustic Music Awards, underlining the duo’s growing influence within the Americana scene.

The A Different Thread – Over Again UK Tour 2026 sees the duo accompanied by their double bassist Mike Seal, bringing a fuller, rich live experience to audiences across the UK after a year away. Their performances balance intimate storytelling moments with foot-stomping Americana and engaging audience singalongs, weaving together the best of two continents’ musical traditions.
