Teddy Swims has crafted a distinctive path through music’s diverse landscape, combining the rich traditions of soul, blues, rock, and country into a seamless whole. Born Jaten Dimsdale in Atlanta, Georgia, his musical journey reflects a deep reverence for artists such as Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Garth Brooks, whose influences resonate throughout his emotive songwriting and powerful vocal delivery.

His moniker, Teddy Swims, meaning Someone Who Isn’t Me Sometimes, perfectly encapsulates his versatile and genre-blending artistry. Emerging from a background in musical theater and various band projects, he launched his solo career in 2019, captivating audiences worldwide with both heartfelt covers and original compositions. His ability to connect emotionally shines through in songs like “Picky,” “Broke,” and “Night Off,” which showcase his soulful voice and compelling melodies.

Break Up In Reverse – out now

Since signing with Warner Records in 2020 and releasing his debut EP Unlearning — including collaborations with country stars Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris — Teddy Swims has steadily built a devoted following. A significant highlight in his career came when he performed at the Grand Ole Opry, a landmark moment representing a dream realised for the singer-songwriter.

Looking ahead to the “UGLY Tour 2027,” Teddy continues to seek out stages where he can share his heartfelt music and connect with fans across Europe and the UK. As he puts it simply:

“I can’t wait to see you all in March and April, I LOVE YOU!!”

If you appreciate soulful storytelling and genre-crossing sounds akin to the emotional depth of Chris Stapleton or the vocal warmth of Leon Bridges, Teddy Swims promises a live experience that resonates on multiple levels.
