The Long Ryders – UK Tour 2026

The Long Ryders return to the UK with their 2026 tour, bringing their signature blend of alternative country, punk rock, and folk-infused sounds to Kidderminster’s Town Hall. Formed in Los Angeles in 1981, the band is widely regarded as a foundational influence in the alt-country movement. Their music features jangly guitars and compelling harmonies that call to mind The Byrds, combined with a rhythm and drive influenced by early rock ‘n’ roll.

The Long Ryders first made waves with their 1984 debut album Native Sons, praised for fusing 1960s garage rock and folk with country rock, earning them a key place in the Paisley Underground scene alongside their contemporaries. After a lengthy hiatus, they reunited in 2016 and have been releasing new material since, most recently their 2026 album High Noon Hymns. Produced by Ed Stasium, known for his work with The Ramones, this latest release features guest appearances from Murry Hammond of The Old 97s and DJ Bonebrake of X, underscoring the band’s ongoing vitality and commitment to dynamic, energetic music.
